» April 24, 1945: Hitting a 9th inning home run for the 3rd time in four games, Butch Nieman poles a 3-run homer, giving him five RBIs as the Braves defeat the Dodgers, 8–6. Nieman's 3-run home run on April 20 beat the Phils, 6–5, and his 9th inning home run on the 22nd tied the Phils.

» July 6, 1945: The Braves sweep the Pirates 13-5 and 14­8, as Butch Nieman hits a pinch grand slam in the opener. In the second game, Tommy Holmes hits in his 34th consecutive game to pass Rogers Hornsby's record of 33 in 1922.
