» June 6, 1912: In Chicago, Walter Johnson takes over for Paul Musser in the 6th inning with Washington ahead, 2–1, and holds Chicago scoreless the rest of the way. Washington tallies another seven runs for the 9–1 win, awarded to Johnson under the practices at the time.
