Books and articles about Billy Muffett

Muffett pitched 14 minor league seasons, and all or parts of six in the majors. He no-hit San Antonio for Shreveport in the 1955 Texas League playoffs. He wound up seeing more major league time as a coach than he had as a player; he served the Cardinals for four years, beginning with their 1967 World Championship season, spent much of the 1970s with the Angels, and succeeded Roger Craig as Tiger pitching coach in 1985.
