Despite throwing a no-hitter for Syracuse (on July 25, 1937, against Jersey City,
a 1-0 win in nine innings) and leading the International League in strikeouts, Moore
came up to the Reds as an unheralded rookie. He went 13-12 at his best for Cincinnati's
1939 pennant winners.
