The Pirates and Braves swap Youngs: Pittsburgh acquires P Irv "Cy the second" Young from Boston (NL) in exchange for Harley Young and P Tom McCarthy. Irv Young, who averaged 330+ innings the past three seasons, will pitch just 175 this year, and fewer the next two seasons, his last, with the White Sox.
