FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY » August 30, 1982: In an effort to bolster its pitching staff for the pennant race, Milwaukee trades minor leaguers Kevin Bass, Frank DiPino, and Mike Madden to the Astros for veteran starter Don Sutton. Sutton has won 13 games for Houston this year. The Brewers are four 1/2 games ahead of the Red Sox.
