Signed by Oakland, Lysander bounced around the minors for six seasons until a 10-3
season of relief for Ogden of the Pacific Coast League earned him a short trial in
1980. He was traded to the Astros and then to the Twins. In 1983 he pitched in 61
games with a 3.38 ERA but his performance later suffered because of overwork.
