The tall Cuban was named to the Topps All-Star Rookie team in 1965 after a 14-13, 2.93 ERA season with the Angels. Often wild, the next year he slumped to 7-14 while leading the AL in hit batsmen. Arm problems over the next few years handicapped his ML career. (MC)
