» October 12, 2002: The Angels take a commanding 3–games–to–1 lead over the Twins in the ALCS with a 7–1 victory. Rookie John Lackey hurls seven 3–hit shutout innings for Anaheim to get the win. Brad Fullmer and Benjie Molina each drive in a pair of runs for the Angels.

» October 27, 2002: The Angels win their 1st World Series ever as they defeat the Giants, 4–1, in Game 7. Rookie John Lackey gets the Series–clinching win. Garret Anderson's bases loaded 2B in the 3rd inning scores three runs for Anaheim. Troy Glaus is named Series MVP.
