Originally a Tiger bonus baby, the slugging outfielder played for seven other ML
teams in ten years, usually as a part-timer. In 1969, his best year, he led the Dodgers
with 19 homers and 74 RBI. He hit .300 for the Reds in the '73 NLCS.
