» February 10, 1971: Los Angeles trades OF Andy Kosco to Milwaukee for P Al Downing. Downing will go on to win 20 games for the Dodgers in 1971.

» March 27, 1973: The Red Sox swap Andy Kosco and Phil Gagliano to the Reds for P Mel Behney, who was 0–2 for the Reds in 1970. His major-league record will remain unchanged.

» October 7, 1973: Jon Matlack gives up two hits to Andy Kosco, but none to the rest of the Reds, as the Mets even the series with a 5–0 win.

» July 14, 1974: The Reds and Pirates split a doubleheader marked by a free-for-all which is later credited with inspiring Pittsburgh and turning its season around. The fight starts after a 4th inning beanball when Jack Billingham plunks P Bruce Kison, bringing both teams onto the field. When Sparky Anderson accidentally steps on Ed Kirkpatrick's foot, the Buc catcher shoves the Reds manager, earning him a punch from the Reds Andy Kosco.
