Knerr managed records of only 5-11 and 3-16 in his two years with the Athletics; in 1946 he was one of three last-place A's pitchers to lose a league-high 16. He finished his career in 1949 in the outlaw Quebec Provincial League, filling in for Mexican League jumpers who had returned to the majors after their suspensions were lifted in mid-season. (MC)
