Knapp was 12-7 after his promotion to the White Sox in 1977, then was traded to the Angels. He jumped the club for three weeks in mid-1978 over a contract dispute but finished 14-8. Knapp slipped on a wet Yankee Stadium mound in May 1979, rupturing a disc, and was through after a 2-11 record in 1980. (MC)
