Kilduff would unknowingly tip off Dodger teammate Burleigh Grimes's spitter by tossing dirt into his glove. He was also one of the baserunners erased by Bill Wambsganss's unassisted triple play in the 1920 Brooklyn-Cleveland WS. (JK)
