FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
» April 9, 2000: The Twins defeat the Royals, 13-7. In the process, they become the 1st teams in history to each hit back-to-back-to-back home runs in the same game. Ron Coomer, Jacque Jones, and Matt LeCroy hit consecutive blasts for Minnesota in the 6th inning, followed by three in a row by Carlos Beltran, Jermaine Dye, and Mike Sweeney of Kansas City an inning later.

» July 12, 2001: Three Minnesota players homer twice in the Twins 13–5 defeat of Milwaukee. Jacque Jones, Torii Hunter, and Corey Koskie each hit a pair of four–baggers to tie a ML record.

» June 4, 2002: The Twins score 10 runs in the 7th inning to close out the scoring in a 23–2 win over the Indians, the most runs in franchise history. Minnesota strokes a franchise–record 25 hits (the Washington Senators hit 24 five times) in the contest and ties the American League record as four players have 4+ hits -- Jacque Jones, Dustin Mohr, A.J. Pierzynski and Luis Rivas. They are the 5th team to do it On the flip side, the Indians tie their team record for biggest loss, tying the mark set in a 21–0 loss to the Tigers, on September 15, 1901. The Tribe also becomes the first team since the 1969 Padres to lose two games in the same season by 19+ runs.

» July 22, 2002: The Twins top the White Sox, 11–6, as OF Jacque Jones gets five hits, including a home run.
