The smoke-throwing righthander from the University of North Carolina went 20-7 for New Orleans in 1937, including a no-hitter. He jumped to Cleveland in 1938, leading the AL with 45 appearances and eight relief wins as the Indians' Rookie of the Year. All four of Humphries's 1941 White Sox victories were shutouts. (EW)
