Cardinals in 1964 in time to contribute two wins and two saves down the stretch.
The next year, he was part of an unusual Cubs staff that also included submariner
Ted Abernathy and sidearmer Bill Faul. He pitched well for the Senators in the late
1960s but made frequent brief trips to the minors to correct his mechanics.
