Todd Hollandsworth is voted the 1996 National League Rookie of the year, the 5th year in a row that the award has gone to a Dodger. The previous four were Eric Karros, Mike Piazza, Raul Mondesi, and Hideo Nomo. Hollandsworth played 41 games in 1995 (103 at bats) but a broken right hand in May and a broken right thumb in August of '95 kept him eligible for the rookie award. » June 12, 1997:
In a surprise move, the Dodgers ship Todd Hollandsworth, the 1996 National League Rookie of the Year, to Albuquerque and call up power-hitting OF Karim Garcia.

The Dodgers ship former Rookie of the Year Todd Hollandsworth, along with OF Kevin Gibbs, and P Randey Dorame, to the Rockies for OF Tom Goodwin and cash.
» April 15, 2001: The Rockies defeat the Diamondbacks, 10-7, as Todd Hollandsworth hits three home runs and drives home seven runs. Hollandsworth is the ninth major-leaguer to hit three homers in a game with the last being a game-ender. Jack Clark, with the Red Sox in 1991, was the last to do it.
