Cobb, Sam Crawford, and Bob Veach. He was a regular with the Yankees for three years.

»August 3, 1914: Against Detroit in the 2nd inning, Les Nunamaker, Yankees catcher, becomes the only man in the 20th century to throw out three would-be base stealers in an inning, nipping Donie Bush, George Moriarty and Hugh High. New York still loses to Detroit, 4–1.
»February 4, 1915: The Yankees purchase Wally Pipp and OF Hugh High from the Detroit Tigers for a reported $5,000 each. Historian Lyle Spatz (Yankees Coming, Yankees Going) writes that this was the first of some promised funneling of ball players to the recently-sold Yankee franchise.
