» June 19, 1999: Colorado defeats Florida, 10-2, as 1B Todd Helton hits for the cycle.

» August 14, 1999: The Rockies and Expos combine to hit 10 home runs in Colorado's 11-8 victory. Four players -- Montreal's Geoff Blum and Colorado's Edgard Clemente, Todd Helton, and Dante Bichette -- each hit a pair, while Jose Vidro and Rondell White also connect. It is only the 3rd time in major league history that four players have each hit two home runs in the same game.

» May 1, 2000: The Rockies defeat the Expos, 15-8, as OF Todd Helton slams three home runs for Colorado. The two teams combined for a Coors Field record 10 homers in the game.

» May 3, 2000: The Rockies bash the Expos, 16-7, setting a team record in the process by stroking 24 hits. OF Todd Helton goes 5-for-5 in the contest, while all nine Colorado starters get at least one hit and one RBI each.

» August 22, 2000: Two position players take the mound in mop up rolls. Catcher Brent Mayne is called upon after the Rockies use nine pitchers through 11 innings against the Braves. Mayne starts the 12th—setting a NL record for most pitchers in a game–and allows a walk but no hits in a scoreless inning. Mayne, who never pitched at any level, gets Chipper Jones on a ground out to end the frame. The Rockies score to win 7–6 in 12 innings on rookie Adam Melhuse's 1st career hit. Mayne is the first position player to win since Rocky Colavito on August 25, 1968 and the first catcher to win a game since Buck Ewing, in 1889. Todd Helton is 1-for-4 and finishes the game hitting .39690.

» October 20, 2000: Carlos Delgado and Todd Helton win the Hank Aaron Award for 2000. The award is given to the best overall hitter in each league.

» November 2, 2000: Todd Helton of the Rockies is named The Associated Press Player of the Year.

» April 4, 2001: Todd Helton and Larry Walker each drive home four runs to back Denny Neagle's five inning, 3-run effort. The Rockies beat the Cards, 13–9, scoring 10 earned runs off Benes in 2.2 innings. Jim Edmonds hits a pair of homers, both upper deck shots, a first at Coors.

» May 13, 2001: Montreal takes a 9–0 lead over host Colorado in the 4th inning, then holds on for a 14–10 win. Milton Bradley has four hits, including a home run, and five RBIs, while Vladimir Guerrero and Jose Vidro also homer. Todd Helton has four hits, with a home run and double.

» May 28, 2001: The Dodgers defeat the Rockies, 11-10 in 11 innings. Catcher and leadoff hitter Paul LoDuca gets six hits, including a 3-run homer for LA. He drives home four runs, including the tying run in the 9th and scores three himself, plating the winning run in the 11th. Todd Helton has a grand slam for the Rocks.

» September 18, 2001: The Rockies came back from a 6-0 deficit in the first inning deficit, in which they make five errors, and pound Curt Schilling to defeat the Diamondbacks 10-9. The Rocks win it on dramatic back-to-back homers by Todd Helton and Jeff Cirillo off Byung-Hyun Kim in the bottom of the 9th. The DBacks lead over SF is now just one 1/2 games.

» September 24, 2001: Larry Walker is 4-for-4 with two homers to pace the Rockies to a 15–11 win over the Padres. Todd Helton hits his 44th and drives in 4, and Juan Uribe has four hits, as the Rockies score in all eight innings they go to bat. The Pads Rickey Henderson is 4-for-5 with three runs scored, leaving him three shy of Ty Cobb's runs record.

» September 30, 2001: Todd Helton's 2B is his 100th extra base hit of the season. He is the 1st player in history to have 100 extra base hits in back–to–back seasons. Lou Gehrig and Chuck Klein were the only others to do it twice in their careers. Colorado scores eight runs in the 3rd inning and go on to calcimine Milwaukee, 10–0.

» October 6, 2001: Colorado drops a 10-4 decision to San Diego. Rockies 1B Todd Helton gets a double in the game, making him the first big league player ever to have back-to-back seasons of 400 total bases. He had 405 last year.

» October 7, 2001: Rickey Henderson gets the 3,000th hit of his career, a leadoff bloop double, as the Padres lose to the Rockies, 14-5. Ricky then leaves the game. The game is the final one of Tony Gwynn's career. Gwynn pinch hits in the 9th and grounds out, then walks around the field shaking hands with hometown fans. Larry Walker, who sits, wins his third NL batting title in three years at .350. Walker and Rockies teammate Todd Helton (.336) become the first teammates to finish 1-2 since John Olerud (.363), Paul Molitor (.332) and Roberto Alomar (.326) were the top three for Toronto in 1993.
