A 6'4" sinkerballer, Heathcock was one of the Astros' most highly regarded prospects when, while with Tucson (Pacific Coast League) in April 1984, he tore up his right knee while covering first base. He missed the rest of that season, and through 1988 was shuttled between Tucson and Houston. (JCA)
