Bob Harris

Born: 1916

RHP 1938-42 Tigers, Browns , A

IPW-LERA
Career 64630-524.96

A fur trapper in Nebraska between seasons, Harris pitched valiantly for poor Browns' and A's teams before leaving for army service, 1943-45. Released by the Athletics upon his return, he demanded compensation for this shoddy treatment, and settled for an undisclosed sum with Connie Mack. (JK/EW)
FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
