Hargan had a roller coaster career. He was an All-Star in 1967, his second full season
with Cleveland (14-13, 2.62, six shutouts). After elbow surgery in 1968, he struggled
until 1970, when he bounced back to go 11-3 (2.90). In the three seasons that followed,
he went 1-16 and spent more than a year in the minors. He again rebounded, posting
a 12-9 mark with the Rangers in 1974.
