The switch-hitting, 155-lb Hall was a four-time minor league basestealing champion who stole 100 bases in the Carolina League in 1980. He was a 10-year veteran of the Braves organization in 1987 when he finally had a 200 at-bat season with Atlanta, hitting .284 in a part-time role. That September 23 he became the first Atlanta Brave ever to hit for the cycle. (JCA)

» October 6, 1910: Boston (NL) rookie OF Bill Collins hits for the cycle; the next franchise player to match him will be Albert Hall for the Atlanta Braves in 1987.

» September 23, 1987: Albert Hall hits for the cycle in Atlanta's 5–4 win over Houston, becoming the first Brave to do so since Bill Collins in 1910.

» August 21, 2000: Potomac's Esix Snead breaks Len Dykstra's Carolina League record of 105 steals by swiping his 106th. Snead has a batting average of .242 and OBA of .338. It's the 10th time in the last 20 years that a minor-leaguer has stolen 100 or more bases in a season.
