» February 6, 1998: The Minnesota Twins trade All–Star 2B Chuck Knoblauch to the Yankees for minor leaguers P Eric Milton, P Danny Mota, OF Brian Buchanan, SS Cristian Guzman, and $3 million.

» August 27, 2002: The Twins top the Mariners, 5–2. Minnesota SS Cristian Guzman is held hitless, ending his 23–game hitting streak.

» October 2, 2002: The Athletics pummel the Twins, 9–1, to even their division series at one game each. Cristian Guzman homers for Minnesota's run while Eric Chavez hits a round–tripper for Oakland. Mark Mulder gets the win with six strong innings for the A's.
