    » June 1, 1997: Whoops. Rookie 2B Wilton Guerrero of the Dodgers is ejected from game in St. Louis for using a corked bat. Guerrero shatters his stick while grounding out to lead off the game. Umpire Steve Rippley sees that the bat has been altered and shows it to crew chief Bruce Froemming, who then ejects Guerrero. Guerrero will earn an 8-day suspension and a $1,000 fine. The Dodgers end their eight-game road losing streak with a 6–1 win when Mike Piazza, Eric Karros and Todd Zeile hit consecutive home runs in the 4th inning. Chan Ho Park (4-2) allows one run in six 2/3 innings for the victory.

    » July 31, 1998: The Expos trade P Carlos Perez, SS Mark Grudzielanek, OF Hiram Bocachica to the Dodgers in exchange for 2B Wilton Guerrero, P Ted Lilly, OF Peter Bergeron and 1B Jonathan Tucker.

    » August 15, 1998: In the Reds–Expos game, two pairs of brothers face each other, and three out of four go deep. Vladimir Guerrero and Wilton Guerrero homer for the Expos while Bret Boone hits a solo shot for the Reds. Aaron Boone followed with a strikeout, but the Reds win 6–4.

    » October 2, 1999: The Expos defeat the Phillies, 13-3, as the Guerrero brothers combine to drive home 10 of the runs. Vladimir Guerrero hits a pair of 3-run homers, while Wilton Guerrero slugs a grand slam.

    » May 8, 2000: The Angels defeat the A's, 9-8, despite home runs by brothers Jason and Jeremy Giambi for Oakland. Vladimir and Wilton Guerrero of the Expos were the last brothers to homer in the same game.

    » January 9, 2001: The Reds sign free agents C Kelly Stinnett and IF Wilton Guerrero to contracts.

    » July 11, 2002: The Marlins send P Ryan Dempster to the Reds for OF Juan Encarnacion, IF Wilton Guerrero, and minor league P Ryan Snare. Florida then sends OF Cliff Floyd, Guerrero, minor league P Claudio Vargas and $1.5 million to the Expos in exchange for Ps Carl Pavano and Graeme Lloyd, IF Mike Mordecai, and minor leaguer Justin Wayne.
