A graduate of Dartmouth, Glaze was picked up by the Red Sox in 1906 from Savannah of the South Atlantic League for $300. Used as a part-time starter and sometimes-reliever, he was a strikeout artist. Glaze became baseball coach at Baylor, Drake, and the University of Southern California, where he also served as athletic director. (EW)
