    Workhorse Gentry pitched 300 innings and won 20 games for Buffalo (International League) in 1943. For Detroit in 1944 he was 12-14, with an AL-high 108 walks. A holdout in 1945, he was placed on the voluntary retired list, but pitched ten innings for Detroit from 1946 to 1948. (EW)
