A reliever with 59 career saves, Fox never had a losing ML season. He compiled a 1.41 ERA in 39 games for Detroit and surrendered Roger Maris's 58th homer in 1961. He recorded a 1.71 ERA in 1962. (TJ)

» December 7, 1960: Detroit trades 2B Frank Bolling and a player to be named later (OF Neil Chrisley) to Milwaukee for OF Billy Bruton, 2B Chuck Cottier, C Dick Brown, and P Terry Fox.

» September 17, 1961: In Detroit, Roger Maris triples off Terry Fox in the 7th to put the Yanks ahead, Detroit ties it and, then in the 12th, Maris faces Fox again with Tony Kubek on 2B. Maris steps out of the box to watch a long skein of Canadian geese fly over Tiger Stadium, then steps in a belts the first pitch for his 58th homer of the year.

» May 14, 1965: At Fenway, the Tigers score four runs in the 10th inning off reliever Dick Radatz to win 12–8. Terry Fox is the winner. For the 2nd game in a row, Willie Horton clouts two home runs and drives in five runs for Detroit. For Boston, Carl Yastrzemski hits for the cycle, and adds a 2nd homer.
