» July 25, 1992: Angels' rookie P Tim Fortugno defeats the Tigers, 3–0, becoming, at age 30, the oldest pitcher to win his 1st major league game since Tony Fossas of the Brewers did so at age 31 in 1989.

» September 30, 1992: George Brett of the Royals gets the 3,000th hit of his career, stroking four safeties in Kansas City's 4–0 win over California. Moments later, Brett is picked off base by Tim Fortugno. Rick Reed is the winner, firing the 2nd successive shutout for the Royals.

» July 27, 1995: The White Sox trade pitchers Jim Abbott and Tim Fortugno to the Angels in exchange for minor league OF McKay Christensen and pitchers Andrew Lorraine, Bill Simas and John Snyder.
