The bespectacled Earley was often the set-up man for Dick Radatz with the 1962-65 Red Sox. In 1965 Earley made a career-high 57 appearances, but went 0-1 without a save. Seldom used for more than an inning, he was generally the first lefthander called in from the bullpen. (PB)
