» August 2nd, 1896: Still Bill Hill's 2-hitter helps Louisville edge Chicago 2-1. In the 6th inning Billy Clingman, in a failed attempt to score the game's first run, spikes Chicago C Tim Donahue. Donahue attempts to retaliate by throwing the ball at Clipman but is prevented from doing so.
