» August 21, 1996: Welcome to the Bigs. Derek Jeter hits a home run off Jason Dickson's first ML pitch, but that's all the scoring for the slumping Yankees as the Angels' rookie wins, 7–1. Chili Davis has a pair of homers, the first off loser Jimmy Key (9–10).

» April 4, 1997: Rookie Jason Dickson pitches a complete game shutout for the Angels, beating the Red Sox, 2–0. Tim Wakefield takes the loss.

» June 10, 1997: In Kansas City the Angels win 6–2, to move ahead of Seattle in the American League West. Center fielder Jim Edmonds makes a sensational catch in the fifth inning and then drives home the go-ahead run with a double in the 6th. Rookie Jason Dickson (8-2) retires 11 of the first 12 batters and allows two runs in seven innings.

» March 25, 1999: Angels P Jason Dickson undergoes surgery to repair torn tissue in his right shoulder. He is expected to miss at least four months of the season.

» June 27, 2000: Heavy medical news. Houston reliever Billy Wagner undergoes surgery to repair a partially torn flexor tendon and is out for the year. Pitchers Anaheim's Jason Dickson and Tampa Bay's Juan Guzman, undergoes arthroscopic surgery on their right shoulders and will miss the remainder of the season.
