» November 12, 1957: Frank Lane resigns as GM of the Cardinals, who replace him with Bing Devine.

» November 6, 1962: Answering rumors that senior consultant Rickey wants Stan Musial to retire, Cardinals owner August Busch says The Man will play until it is time to become a club vice president. Further, Bing Devine is still running the club.

» August 17, 1964: General manager Bing Devine and business manager Art Routzong of the Cardinals are fired by owner August Busch. The popular Devine, who engineered the Brock trade, leaves with the Cardinals in 5th place.

» November 14, 1966: George Weiss resigns as Mets president and is succeeded by Bing Devine.

» December 5, 1967: Stan Musial resigns as GM of the Cardinals and is replaced by Bing Devine. Musial remains a senior veep.
