» April 11, 1993: Expos 2B Mike Lansing gets five hits in Montreal's 19-9 win over the Rockies. Lansing had been inserted into the lineup when Delino DeShields came down with chicken pox.
» November 19, 1993: The Expos acquire P Pedro Martinez from the Dodgers in exchange for 2B Delino DeShields.
» June 8, 1997: Tom Lampkin, Royce Clayton and Delino DeShields homer as the visiting Cardinals whip Los Angeles, 9–3. For the second time in four days, a Dodger starting pitcher mixes it up with manager Bill Russell in the dugout. Starter Pedro Astacio, starts the discussion on the mound with Russell in the 4th inning and then, after the 3rd out, sprints to the dugout and slams his glove against the bench before resuming the argument. On Thursday night, Ismael Valdes argued with Russell after being lifted for a pinch-hitter.

Mark McGwire cracks a 2-run homer in the 9th to tie the game for St. Louis and Delino DeShields hits a leadoff homer in the 12th as the Cards edge the Braves, 3–2. For McGwire, who also walks four times, it is his 4th homer in four games.

The Orioles sign free agent 2B Delino DeShields to a 3-year contract.
» March 4, 1999: Delino DeShields, signed to a long-term contract by the Orioles, suffers a freak injury during an intersquad game and will be put on the disabled list.
» April 7, 2001: In the 10th against the Indians, the Orioles shift LF Delino DeShields behind 2B with one out and the bases loaded. RF Brady Anderson moves to shallow LF and CF Melvin Mora moves to right center. Jolbert Cabrera hits a fly near the LF line to Anderson who fires a strike to get the surprised runner Ellis Burks trying to score. The O's score two in the top of the 11th to win, 4–2.
