Sure-handed and quick, Day was one of the smaller modern players at 5'9", 160 lb. Platooned by the Expos, he hit .283 in 1971 and .275 two years later. He was 30-for-129 as a ML pinch hitter. After being sent down to the minors he tried unsuccessfully to make a comeback as a pitcher. (MC)
