Daley backed up defensive whiz Sammy White in Boston for five seasons, never getting 200 at-bats. He was taken by the "new" Washington Senators in the 1961 expansion draft, but lasted only one more season. (JK)

» October 16, 1910: At Portland, Los Angeles (PCL) beats the Beavers, 3-2 and 1–0 in five innings. In game 1, when Angels Pete Daley scores in the 4th inning, it is the first score against Portland in 88 innings. Portland will finish atop the PCL with a 113-79 record and four 20-game winners.

» September 18, 1958: For the second time in a month, the first two leadoff hitters homer. This time it is KC's Bill Tuttle and Roger Maris connecting off Boston's Ted Bowsfield as the A's win, 4–1. Bob Cerv hits #37 for the A's and Pete Daley homers off winner Bud Daley for Boston's score.
