» June 3, 1993: Seattle selects SS Alex Rodriguez of Westminster Christian HS in Miami with the 1st pick in the amateur draft. Rodriguez hit .417 with 17 homers and 90 stolen bases. The Brewers get pitchers Jeff D'Amico and Kelly Wunsch with two 1st round picks. Both will prove injury prone, but they do take SS Mark Loretta on the 7th round. The Phils take Scott Rolen on the 2nd round; the Braves select Kevin Millwood (11th) and John Rocker (18th), while the Indians take Richie Sexson (24th). » June 18, 2000:
The A's tie a team record as they run over the Royals, 21-3, scoring 10 runs in the 3rd inning. The A's scored 21 runs on June 14, 1969 against Boston. Every Oakland starters gets at least one hit, one RBI, and one run scored. Gil Heredia is an easy winner over Jeff D'Amico, making his first ML start.
» January 21, 2002: In a complicated three–team deal, the Colorado Rockies trade Alex Ochoa and two prospects to the Mets for veterans Benny Agbayani and Todd Zeile. The Rocks will pay $2 mil of Zeile's $6 million contract, while the Mets agree to pay $3.25 million of it, plus a $500,000 buyout payment on the contract. The Mets receive minor leaguers Ross Gload and Craig House from Colorado. The 3rd team in the deal, the Brewers, pay $250,000 of it. The Brewers then send slugger Jeremy Burnitz, starter Jeff D'Amico, INF Lou Collier, and two prospects to the Mets. New York ships pinchhitter/IF Lenny Harris, P Glendon Rusch, and Ochoa to Milwaukee. The Mets have now replaced half of their 2001 roster.

In the Braves' 2–1 win over the Mets, B.J. Surhoff makes a 9–3 fielding play; throwing out Jeff D'Amico at 1B on an apparent RBI single. Greg Maddux leaves in the 1st with lower back pain, but Kevin Millwood throws four innings of 2–hit ball.
