This modestly talented pitcher of Slavic descent pitched one game for the 1922 World
Championship Giants and, after bouncing back from the minors twice, collected losing
World Series shares from the 1927 Pirates and 1929 Cubs. Cvengros was the victim
of a three-run Babe Ruth homer in the 1927 WS.
