Curtis finished third (behind Billy Williams and Joe Torre) in 1961 Rookie of the
Year voting following his 10-13 season. Traded to Milwaukee for Bob Buhl the next
year, Curtis finished with Cleveland in 1963.

The Braves trade Bob Buhl to the Cubs for P Jack Curtis. Buhl, coming off his first losing season since 1954, will be a solid starter over the next four years for the Cubs, winning 51 games. He also establish a ML mark as a batter going 0-for the season, going to the plate 70 times without a hit.
»November 27, 1962: The Braves swap aging slugger Joe Adcock and P Jack Curtis to the Indians for P Frank Funk, outfielders Don Dillard and Ty Cline. With the addition of the 35-year-old slugger Adcock, 1B prospect Walt Bond will spend another year in the minors. Bond hit .380 with six home runs in 50 at-bats for Cleveland in September.
