Taken from San Francisco by the Padres in the 1968 expansion draft, Corkins threw an Eastern League no-hitter in 1969, was called up, and on September 22 served up Willie Mays's 600th career home run. He was a lifetime .202 hitter with five HR in 119 at-bats. (MC)
