The lefthanded Corcoran led the AL with 10 pinch hits as a rookie in 1977. He batted .322 in five Tiger spring trainings, but only in 1978 and 1980 did he spend full seasons in Detroit. An extra outfielder and backup first baseman, he batted .341 for Philadelphia in 1984, but was released after dropping to .214 in 1985. (JCA)
