FROM THE BASEBALL CHRONOLOGY
» April 28, 1991: Philadelphia hurler Jason Grimsley sets a major league mark by tossing a wild pitch in his 9th consecutive game (dating back to 1990). The old record of eight was set in 1986 by Jaime Cocanower of the Brewers. In the same contest, the Phillies turn the 1st triple play in the 20-year history of Veterans Stadium as they defeat the Padres, 9-2, with Grimsley notching the win.
