Chrisley was a lefthanded power hitter who had 60 homers over his last three minor league seasons and hit .343 at Indianapolis in 1957. He was used sparingly in parts of five ML seasons. (JCA)

» November 8, 1955: The Senators trade stalwarts Mickey Vernon, Bob Porterfield, Johnny Schmitz and Tom Umphlett to the Red Sox for five young players: P Dick Brodowski, P Truman Clevenger, P Al Curtis, and outfielders Neil Chrisley and Karl Olson.

» December 6, 1958: The Senators give walking papers to 3B Eddie Yost, sending him to Detroit along with Rocky Bridges and OF Neil Chrisley. The Nats receive infielders Reno Bertoia, Ron Samford, and OF Jim Delsing in exchange.

» May 7, 1960: Red Sox pitcher Bill Monbouquette allows just one hit in beating the visiting Tigers, 5–0. Neil Chrisley's double is the only safety.

» December 7, 1960: Detroit trades 2B Frank Bolling and a player to be named later (OF Neil Chrisley) to Milwaukee for OF Billy Bruton, 2B Chuck Cottier, C Dick Brown, and P Terry Fox.
