    » August 25, 1992: Recalled earlier in the day from Tucson (AAA), Houston's Andujar Cedeno hits for the cycle against the Cards, the first Astro to cycle since Bob Watson in 1977. The Cards win, though, 5-3.

    » July 19, 1994: Cardinals' P Vicente Palacios hurls a 1-hit shutout against Houston, defeating the Astros, 10-0. Palacios allows only a 3rd-inning single to Andujar Cedeno and a walk, while striking out eight batters.

    » December 28, 1994: The Astros obtain OF Derek Bell, IF Ricky Gutierrez, P Pedro Martinez, OF Phil Plantier, and IF Craig Shipley from the Padres in exchange for 3B Ken Caminiti, SS Andujar Cedeno, OF Steve Finley, 1B Roberto Petagine, P Brian Williams, and a player to be named. P Sean Fesh will go to the Padres next May to complete the 12-player deal, the biggest in the major leagues since 1957.

    » July 6, 1995: The Astros defeat the Padres, 5-4 in 12 innings, as Houston pitchers fan 17 SD batters. Padres' SS Andujar Cedeno fans five times, while teammates Melvin Nieves and Roberto Petagine whiff four times each. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, no team over the past 15 years has had three players strike out four or more times in the same game. SD pitchers fan 15 Houston players themselves.

    » July 7, 1995: For the 2nd consecutive game, Houston defeats SD by a score of 5-4. Padres' SS Andujar Cedeno strikes out three times in three ABs, giving him 10 K's in three games to tie a major league record.
