» July 28, 1995: With baseball's new speed up rules in place, the Cubs dispose of the Phillies 4–0 in a brisk 2:29. Cubs' P Frank Castillo says, "It wasn't the rule about throwing a pitch in 12 seconds since I usually throw in five seconds."

» September 25, 1995: Cubs' P Frank Castillo 1-hits the Cardinals, winning by a score of 7-0. Castillo strikes out 13, walks 2, and allows only a triple to OF Bernard Gilkey.

» June 15, 1997: At Wrigley, the Cubs beat the Brewers, 4–3, to take the interleague series, 2–1. Frank Castillo allows five hits in six 1/3 innings and K's seven to win. The teams draw 112,690 for the three games—7,638 shy of the Wrigley Field record of 120,328 for a three-game series, set in 1994 against Cincinnati.

» December 7, 2000: The Red Sox sign free agent P Frank Castillo to a 2-year contract.

» May 20, 2001: The Red Sox beat the Royals, 10-3, as Jason Varitek is 4-for-4 hitting three home runs and an RBI single and drives in seven runs. Varitek came into the game with two homers. Manny Ramirez and Carl Everett solo to back Frank Castillo's pitching.

» May 5, 2002: The Red Sox snap a scoreless tie with a run in the 8th and add another in the 9th on a solo home run By Nomar Garciaparra to give Tampa Bay its 10th straight loss. Frank Castillo pitches eight innings for the win. Boston will sweep by winning tomorrow, 7–5
