» November 18, 1994: The Indians trade pitchers Dave Mlicki, Jerry Dipoto, Paul Byrd, and a player to be named to the Mets in exchange for OF Jeromy Burnitz and P Joe Roa.

» June 5, 2001: The Phillies trade P Paul Byrd to the Royals for P Jose Santiago.

» April 17, 2002: The Royals explode for nine runs on eight hits in top of the 8th inning as they rout the Twins, 16–3. Carlos Beltran hits a 3–run home run in the 7th for KC, and Joe Randa and Raul Ibanez also have three RBIs. Paul Byrd (3–0) is the easy winner.
