A sinker-slider pitcher, Brusstar was a middle reliever who never started a game. Plagued by shoulder problems, he always pitched well in postseason play, and beat the Astros in Game Four of the 1980 LCS. (AL)

» August 16, 1977: At Montreal, the Phillies win their 13th straight a 20th century club record, beating the Expos, 7–5. Warren Brusstar is the winner over joe Kerrigan.

» April 15, 1982: The Phils double the Mets, 8–4, in 13 innings. Luis Aguayo's 2-out 3-run home run, off Charlie Puleo, in the 13th makes it easy for Warren Brusstar.

» January 26, 1983: The White Sox trade pitchers Steve Trout and Warren Brusstar to the Cubs for pitchers Randy Martz and Dick Tidrow and infielders Pat Tabler and Scott Fletcher.

» May 9, 1985: The Giants end a 24-inning scoring drought by scoring a run with 2-out in the 12th to beat Chicago, 1–0. Scott Garrelts is the winner with four innings of relief over Warren Brusstar.
