The 6'5" 215-lb Britton declined a football scholarship to Penn State and signed with the Orioles. Drafted by the Braves, he pitched a Texas League no-hitter against Little Rock on Opening Day, 1967. Atlanta used him as a spot starter in 1968-69, but he sat out 1970 with arm trouble. (MC)
