A bright prospect in the Giants' system, a 1952 arm injury ruined the hard-throwing
lefty's chances. He had a distinctive follow-through which left him vulnerable to
ground balls up the middle. In 1954 pitched a seven-inning perfect game for Hollywood
(Pacific Coast League) on the last day of the season to clinch a tie for the pennant. (RTM)
