Light-hitting but rifle-armed Borgmann set a Minnesota record when he led all ML
catchers with a .997 fielding average in 1974, his first of two years as the Twins'
regular catcher. Injuries, the emergence of Butch Wynegar, and Borgmann's poor hitting
relegated him to reserve duty thereafter.
